Vaughan Constructions adopts a “prevention is the best cure” attitude towards industrial relations to avoid possible disputes, implementing a stringent Industrial Relations policy in compliance with the current award conditions.
Reliable and professional Shop Stewards, Occupational Health and Safety Officers and First Aid Officers are employed by Vaughan Constructions to work on-site for the duration of each project, whilst weekly, documented safety inspections are held to avoid potential disputes. Minutes from these safety inspections are distributed to all on-site contractors to ensure ongoing communication and immediate attention to any issues that may arise.
Prior to letting any one sub-contract, all relevant details in regard to Insurance, Work Care, Building Union (where applicable), superannuation, and redundancy schemes are checked for currency and financial position.
Vaughan Constructions ensures that site establishment is in accordance with the current industry requirements, providing site accommodation, signage, access and temporary lighting, with accommodation checked and cleaned daily. All precautions are taken to prevent an industrial dispute from occurring, however, should an incident arise, our Site Managers and Construction Managers are trained to act promptly and decisively to minimise any delay.
