Vaughan Constructions continued to build upon its reputation as a large distribution centre construction specialist upon completion of Coles’ 70,000m2 distribution centre, located in Truganina.
The project included 70,000m2 of undercover warehouse space, 62 loading docks, 502 car parks, 3.1 kilometres of line-marketing, 1,500 tonnes of steel and more than 23,000m2 of concrete.
Vaughan worked closely with Coles throughout the entire project; identifying and acquiring the Truganina site, planning and design and construction of the distribution centre.
The distribution centre, which is four times the size of the MCG was completed six weeks ahead of a tight seven month target program.
This provided Coles with flexibility coordinating the shift rom their previous facility located in Altona to their new Truganina facility.
